medo Privacy Policy
medo helps you build a home medicine kit from package photos and manual entries. It is an informational inventory tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, prescriptions, dosage instructions, or emergency guidance.
Information handled by the app
Medicine records you enter
Package names, generic names, strengths, forms, ingredients, quantities, storage locations, notes, lot numbers, barcodes, and expiry dates may be stored locally on your device so the app can organize your home kit.
Package photos you choose to capture or add
The app uses the camera and selected photos to create medicine records, show card covers, and extract package clues. Photos and extracted text are stored locally unless you choose features that use online AI or web enrichment.
AI scan, web search, and assistant requests
When online AI features are enabled, package images, extracted text, search queries, assistant prompts, and relevant medicine context may be sent through SNTH infrastructure to AI or search providers to generate extraction results, web enrichment, or sourced answers.
Purchase status
If you buy medo Plus, Apple processes the transaction and Adapty provides entitlement status needed to unlock paid features.
Support messages
If you contact support, we receive the email address and message contents you choose to send.
Third-party services
- Apple Camera and Photos. Used when you capture package photos or choose images for medicine records.
- Apple Vision. Used for on-device text and barcode recognition from package images.
- Apple Foundation Models. Used for on-device AI assistance where Apple Intelligence is available.
- Apple App Store and StoreKit. Purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and entitlement status.
- Adapty. Subscription paywalls, entitlement delivery, purchase restoration, and purchase analytics.
- OpenRouter. Online AI extraction and assistant features when enabled.
- Perplexity. Web search and sourced medicine context when online lookup is enabled.
What we do not collect
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not collect payment card details.
- We do not require an account in this build.
- We do not use medicine records for advertising.
- We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or dosage advice.
Purchases and subscriptions
medo Plus purchases are processed by Apple. Adapty may process subscription status, product identifiers, renewal state, and related purchase events so the app can unlock paid features.
